Abstract
It is most popular to adopt the pin-end connection as the end connection of long-span tension structures. Hitherto, however, the design criterions are still used to design the pin-end connection, although some efforts have been exerted to obtain the strength formulas of pin-end. In this paper, the validities of conventional design clauses are compared and verified. And the deduction of some formulas is re-considered.
