Abstract
Kinematic Analysis is conducted to derive the kinematic constraints for the geometric design of foldable positive Gaussian curvature (FPC) and foldable negative Gaussian curvature (FNC) lattice structures composed of scissors units. Non-linear structural analysis is followed to determine the structural response of FPC and FNC in the fully deployed configuration under static loading. The effect of varying member sizes, depth-to-span ratio, rise-to-span ratio, grid density, and geometric imperfections is examined.
