Abstract
This paper is an introduction to the systematic treatment of periodic deployable structures composed of regular prismatic nodes linked by struts in various spatial and structural configurations. For the purpose of this presentation, only one family derived from the space filling of regular hexagonal prisms is shown. Of the 27 theoretical possible structures within this family, 15 structures are more suitable for architecture, and are described here. The method can be extended to other families.
