Abstract
The behavior of large hyperbolic cooling towers under the dynamic excitation of earthquakes is investigated in this paper. Three different kinds of supporting columns are examined and compared. The study includes parametric analyses considering different locations and soil conditions, comparing also different kinds of columns.
