IASS Symposium 2010 in Shanghai, China, 8-12 November 2010
The IASS Annual Symposium 2010, "Spatial Structures — Temporary and Permanent," will be held in Shanghai, China on 8-12 November 2010. A special focus will be the temporary and permanent structures for EXPO 2010 being held in Shanghai. The Symposium is being organized by Tongji University and will be held in the Jin Jiang Tower Hotel, which is in the heart of Shanghai city.

SEWC2010-India: Architecture-Structure Interaction, 23-25 April 2010
An international colloquium on "Archtecture-Structure Interaction for the Sustainable Built Environment" is being organized by SEWC in Bangalore, India on 23-25 April 2010. The IASS is a founding member of SEWC, and many of the invited speakers at this colloquium are IASS members.

The IASS is one of the co-organizers of the International Symposium "Steel Structures: Culture & Sustainability 2010," to be held in Istanbul, Turkey on 20-22 September 2010. The deadline for abstract submission is 9 November 2009.

IASS Symposium 2011 in London, 20-23 September 2011
The 2011 IASS Annual Symposium is being jointly organized with IABSE with the theme "IABSE-IASS 2011: Taller, Longer, Lighter." It will be held in central London 20-23 September, and will also incorporate the 6th International Conference on Space Structures usually held at Surrey University. Special attention will be paid to the structures for the 2012 London Olympic Games.

SEWC2011-Italy: Structural Engineers World Congress, Lake Como, 4-6 April
The fourth Structural Engineers World Congress, SEWC2011-Italy, will be held at Lake Como, Italy 4-6 April 2011. The primary purpose of SEWC2011 is to focus on the overall practice of structural engineering for both the technical and the theoretical aspects, including materials, actions, design, construction, research and tests. The IASS is a founding member of SEWC and endorses this congress.
