Abstract
A form-finding method of tensegrity structures is a process of finding an equilibrium configuration and a key step in a design of the tensegrity. Over the past few years, several studies have been made on form-finding methods of the tensegrity structures, however, these methods are limited in the tensegrity systems with multiple self-stress states. The purpose of this study was to present a numerical method for form-finding of tensegrity systems with a single states or multiple states of self-stress by using the natural frequencies of the structures. To obtain both mechanical and geometrical parameters of tensegrity structures, 典he maximum stiffness status of the structure can be determine when the fundamental frequency of the structure is maximized・philosophy was employed. A genetic algorithm is then performed to draw the maximum fundamental frequency of the tensegrity structures.
