Abstract
The structure form of Grand Ballroom of Zhengzhou Greenland twin tower is concrete shell supporting steel frame structure. The concrete shell bears not only the large vertical load of the Grand Ballroom but also the horizontal earthquake action transferred from the twin tower. Combined with structural designing, the structure scheme, static characteristics, stability and seismic behavior of this project are primarily described. The influence of some parameters, such as the thickness of the concrete slab and the section of the grid beam, are analyzed. The safety problem of the concrete shell structure under extreme vertical load and horizontal seismic action is also discussed. The results of the design and analysis of this project can be taken as references for similar structures.
