Abstract
In recent years, the space frames (SP) has been widely used for its characteristics of various forms and reasonable load bearing capacity. But due to the reasons such as the design, production and installation, space frame structural accidents happen occasionally. This article summarized the engineering accident analysis through more than 40 items of SP accidents and made a classification from the structural type, structural size and the damage causes. Combining with some engineering accident examples, the experiences and lessons in aspects of design and construction have been summarized and some countermeasures and suggestions were proposed.
