Abstract
The 2011 Great Eastern Japan Earthquake and following tsunami caused massive devastation along the eastern coast of Japan. Minamisanriku, a village in Miyagi Prefecture, was one of the hardest-hit regions. Asahi Kindergarten was washed away along with the entire village. A new Kindergarten in a tsunami-struck region is constructed using seawater-logged trees.
