Abstract
Large span steel pipe truss structure get widely used because its advantage. But this kind of structure has consisted of many members. So it will become complex space form because of each member’s reaction. In order to guarantee the security of structure, the health monitoring technology has been used. Select the Haihu gymnasium in Xining, Qinghai province as an example in this paper, Fiber Bragg grating sensor and the vibrating wire sensor are introduced in the application during the gymnasium construction stage for health monitoring. Expounds the composition of health monitoring system, the monitoring methods and arrangement of measuring point have been discussed. The result of monitoring data show that each key bar stress changes stability in the construction phase, and internal force far smaller than yield strength of steel material. The stress state each bar of structure always satisfied the design requirements in a work state. Displacement of each point on ring direction is changed stability and structural stiffness is enough. The hearth monitoring for Xining Haihu gymnasium is very important for evaluation security of structure. Beside, relevant experience and measure data can be as reference example for similar real project.
