Abstract
Nowadays many huge open-air storages cause great pollution in China. It is necessary to construct a large quantity of enclosed storages to protect environment. Effective methods on finding reasonable enclosed storages are important to save cost and resources. Compared to other type of structures, reticulated structure is suggested for huge enclosed storages due to its economy and suitability. Considering working efficiency, capacity loss and steel usage, column layout is the key to achieve the balance among all aspects and find a reasonable scheme for enclosed storages. Some models are established and a reliable, common approach to reach most reasonable column layout is put forward.
