Abstract
The aim of this paper is to describe the basic concept and structural analysis of the steel parts of “New Troja Bridge” in Prague. The bridge with the main span 200,4m across Vltava River in Prague will serve for tramway, car and pedestrian traffic. The bridge is a simply supported bowstring-arch bridge with two twins of inclined network type webs. The arch is made of steel, hangers from steel solid bars, whereas the cross beams and the deck are composed of prestressed concrete. The paper presents philosophy of analysis, construction process of the bridge, influence of the phases of the construction, stability assessment of the arch and basic results of dynamic analysis.
