Abstract
Due to the requirements for information exchange between architectural discipline and structural discipline have become more urgent. Realizing such a demand, IFC is considered to be an efficient tool. In this paper introduced the IFC standard for spatial structural information modeling and researched on the transformation method of spatial structural model. A IFC-based software of spatial structural model transformation is developed with ObjectARX technology and AutoCAD graphics platform. A case study shows that the software can extract the information from the IFC spatial structural model and rebuild the spatial structural model.
