Abstract
This paper describes mechanical characteristics of a spatial structure with geometry from wind ripple and sand dune when subjected to vertical load. The geometry is generated according to the approximate modeling based on salutation and creep in height field. Three lattice spatial structures with bracing based on wind ripple, sand dune and combination of them are analyzed and compared. Finally authors conclude that the mechanical performance of the spatial structure with form of sinusoidal wave in a half wave length, which is an approximation of sand dune, is improved by adding the wind ripple form on it.
