Abstract
Tilt-up construction is a construction technique which casts concrete elements on a horizontal surface at the jobsite and then tilts the element to the final position. The prospect of its use in China is well. The numerical analysis on a single panel of tilt-up structure during in-service condition using Chinese code has been done in the paper. Through analysis, we can get the ultimate bearing capacity under different opening condition, and then we can get the corresponding reference wind pressure using Chinese code. Based on the calculation result we can see that, when the maximum dimension of opening is 0.6m or less, the effect caused by opening can be ignored. While the size of opening gets larger, the value of basic wind pressure decreases. And the situation can be improved by enhancing the material strength, by adding additional reinforcement bar at the weak area and so on.
