Abstract
Tensegrity systems are self stressed reticulate structures composed of a set of compressed struts assembled inside a continuum of tendons. We present in this paper a novel strategy for the active vibration control of a tensegrity grid. The objective is to reduce the amplitude of the first two vibrtion modes, using actuators integrated into the structure. The effectiveness of this control and its robustness are illustrated by varying paramters of the structure.
